Yes, that final part in the exam is usually reserved for a discussion of exam findings, followed by patient education, lastly and most importantly: a little Q&A. Admittedly, it can be difficult to be fully engaged in this discussion with your ophthalmologist or optometrist at this late stage in the exam.
